Sri Ramakrishna Central School CBSE organised Kovai sahodaya school Complex Carom tournament on 12th August 2022 in the school premises. The chief guest of the day was Shri M. Nataraj, World Cup champion in carom. The school principal Mrs. Priscilla Rani hosted the event and addressed the gathering. A total of 200 to 300 students from various schools participated from all over Coimbatore. The chief guest explained the rules and regulations of the game before the event started. However it was noticed that all the participants took careful moves while playing. The competition held under the following categories  of Under 12 boys both singles and doubles, under 14  boys singles and doubles, under 14 girls singles and doubles, under 17 boys singles and doubles and under 17 girls singles and doubles, under 19 boys and girls single and doubles. In each category, participants from various school participated in the carom matches. The excitement and Enthusiasm for the competition was infectious. The entire participant played very well. Excellent postman ship and Team Spirit were the highlight of the event. The programme ended up with the prize distribution for the winners and the overall championship was won by Vivekananda Academy School, Coimbatore. The school principal Mrs Priscilla Rani appreciated the efforts of the students. The chief guest shri M. Nataraj addressed the gathering and motivated everyone in the valedictory function and the day’s event ended up with the National Anthem.
