STUDENT COUNCIL ELECTION 2022

“A leader is one who knows the way, Goes the way and shows the way”

School election process is a time where students get to know about the process involved in choosing the right candidate for a particular post by using their right to vote and choose a governing body which represents the students of the school as one.

 

Election for the students Council was held at Sri Ramakrishna Central School CBSE on 6th August 2022. Objective of appointing the student Council is to provide a platform to the students to develop leadership qualities by organising and carrying out school activities and service projects. In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare the student Council is the voice of the student body. They help, share student ideas, interests and concerns with the school wide community

 

In prior to the election, candidates who had filed nominations were asked to campaign, why they should be elected for the post they had stood for. The nominees for the head boy were two students Hariharan M.M and Adithya Iyer. S of great 11. The head girl nominees were  Sajitha. S and Aishwarya .R of grade 12 and Gopika .D of grade 11 .  A total of 5 students filed nominations for the post of head boy and head girl. The election was organised in the school Auditorium. The students of grade 6 to 12 casted their votes. Students exercised their right to franchise by choosing the candidates of their choice from the assigned forms. Finally the most awaited results were declared by the principal Mrs. Priscilla Rani by counting all the votes. Aishwarya of grade 12 won the election and announced as the Head girl and Adithya Iyer of grade 11 won the election and announced as the Head boy for the academic year 2022-23.
